For eons, I've struggled with doing a tambourine roll. EVERYONE has advice on how to do a roll, and nothing was working. Finally, someone suggested Bees Wax, which is hard to find around here. Of course, it was available at Steve Weiss Music all along. Thank you!
Exactly as advertised and exactly what you'd expect. Goes on easily and makes it much easier to do a thumb roll. Should last a long time too!

Stuff works like a charm. I was considering rosin instead because I was worried that this wouldn't have much staying power and wipe off, but I went for it because I trusted the good folks at Black Swamp to make awesome products. It was a very good decision. It's the perfect consistency/stickiness.
