The mallets are pretty good for quick cutting rolls on suspended cymbals. They're weighted and balanced well, and are fairly distinct from their SC2 counterparts. They're not used by myself as often as I would like, but I rarely play solely suspended cymbals, let alone fast hard rolls. A great investment for anybody from aspiring students to pros, and would be good for schools.
