Got the LUD-L1232 for my supersensitive snare (1965) that I'm restoring but it was too long and the ends did not fit into the holders. Tried them on my '75 Black Beauty super sensitive and looks like a fit! I'm keeping this for a spare. Make a note that wires will not fit on the first generation supersensitive (1920-68), but fits on the models from 1968 to now.

With regard to snare wires, the trend is today is 20strands. 13" or 14" snare, same difference. I've found that the 12-strand snare wires give me the sound I'm looking for. These Ludwig snares are better quality than the standard snappy's, but at SteveWeiss's prices, you get the quality AND the budget price!
