For our marching programs, we needed to create a auxiliary rack. Gibraltar made that easy for us! We've had great luck with these casters on turfs and tracks. A word of caution though... do not overtighten! The "pig steel" is not very forgiving and will crack.

I recently purchased 8 of these casters for my drum kit. It's a fairly large kit, and I have it separated into two separate racks (4 casters per rack), and I have a memory lock for each caster. These things are rock-solid, and really make getting on and off of a stage quick and painless. God forbid you have a flight of stairs in front of you, but just like with any other drum kit, you'll have to lift it eventually. These enable you to set up most of your kit back/off stage before your set and load onto the stage easily. I don't necessarily recommend them for any kind of marching/indoor percussion ensemble, seeing as how they're not meant for the rough terrain of tracks, dirt, grass, and gravel, but they've certainly handled rolling over cables, bumbs, and other things you'll find on a stage floor.
