Rick Cline is a performer/educator in Hickory, NC, as well as a father of 2 boys , Reese and Gabriel, and husband to Summer. As a native of Hickory, Cline enjoys a wonderful musical career filled with numerous weekly performances and a abundant weekly teaching load. He teaches applied percussion at Lenoir Rhyne College and currently directs the Piedmont Percussion Program, a program for kids ages 8-18 for 3 years. Prior to that, he also founded and taught the Lenoir-Rhyne Percussion program for over 8 years. The P3 program contains over 60 kids, divided up into 4 percussion ensembles and a community steel drum band. The program performs yearly at the NC Day of Percussion, has won national acclaim among educators, and has been mentioned in the internationally distributed "Percussive Notes".
