Congas are awkward generally, and these bags don't fix that at all. I got the bags because they look like what I want, but I have heavy LP congas. The 12 1/2 bag can't take it... the drum is too heavy for the material and it wore out pretty quick. The lighter drums don't have that problem. Maybe Pearl congas are lighter so they didn't worry about it, but it's a drag either way. I'd say they work great if you've got lighter weight drums... but big, heavy LPs are probably not what these are designed for.

Good Bags, Fair Price

The bags have incredible protection for the conga head, I think there's a metal plate in the top portion of the bag. The rest of the bag is barely padded, but the material is strong enough to prevent scratches. The Shoulder straps are plenty strong but somewhat awkward. For the price, these are easily the best bags available.
