Yamaha Stadium Hardware Bass Drum Stand with AIRlift - Product Information

Yamaha Modular Stadium Hardware for Marching Bass Drums, model RM-MASH-B, is made by May Products and features the AIRlift system which enables the player to effortlessly set the right height for their playing needs.

With Stadium Hardware promoting correct playing technique, your drumline will literally elevate to a higher level of sound and visual performance. Yamaha's Stadium Hardware by May is an instrument suspension system that will save wear and tear on your marching percussion, and the marching percussionist.

A unique tripod system allows one of the legs to adjust independently of the other two. This ensures stable support of the instruments, even when used in bleachers. What does this mean? Percussionists can easily go from carrier to bleacher to band room without sacrificing playing technique or sound quality. Now, marching percussion can be used on carriers and stands in every situation, both inside and outside. This translates into less wear and tear on the gear, and less money coming out of the instrument repair budget.

Stadium Hardware is height adjustable to encourage proper playing technique for all players regardless of the setting: drumline rehearsals, standstill performances, football bleachers and basketball pep band performances.

When set up on a flat surface, the snare, tom and bell/xylophone stands are intentionally tilted back to bring the center of gravity over the base of the stand. This brings the instrument closer to the player and prevents the stand from tipping over. With the ATS technology, the same concept can be applied when used in bleachers.

The worst stands in the history of marching...

Comments:

Very poor design. Flimsy legs and way too many screws making it difficult to set up and stay sturdy. Parts go missing a lot too, which is not OK for stands considering if parts go missing then you can't use it. Also, basket is poorly designed too. Sure it's easy to just set the drum on but they fall off really easily too by the slightest bump. Randall May and Yamaha need to do serious rethinking of their stands. Also what kind of ugly blue/purple color even is this? And it's way too expensive too. Over $200, when you can buy a nice, sturdy, and easy to use stand from Pearl or Dynasty for way less.

AWESOME!

Comments:

These stands are durable, they last a very long time, my program has been using them for about 10 years now, just make sure you keep the allen wrench screw tight for the cradle to work properly. 4 out of 5 b/c theyre relatively expensive. But they do what you need them to do. coming from marching without them, and havinig to practice with carriers all the time this is awesome!

Very poor stand

Comments:

This bass drum stand is very poor quality. I marched bass drum for one season in the fall and found it easier to simply use the harness the entire season then use the stand. The stands we have at our school are all the same Yamaha AIRlift system, and all are broken. The stands are very weak and can not survive a truck ride. The rubber grips come off easily and the hardware breaks or malfunctions frequently. The stand and cradles themselves can not hold the bass drum and i've hit the bass drum off the stand before. You'd have more luck using a snare basket stand on a bass drum. Hope this can help!
