Gibraltar Snare Batter Side Hoops

I bought one of these hoops to replace a warped hoop on the house drum set at a local club where I play at least once a week. Drummers from all over the U.S. play the kit throughout the year, and whenever it's my turn I retune or replace heads and broken or missing parts. (For a while we had a serious theft problem: it's a sad day when artists rip off their struggling colleagues.) The only thing I don't like about this hoop is the barcode decal glued to the exterior surface. Like the similar label stuck to the underside of Zildjian cymbals, it requires the use of rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky mess; and the longer the decal stays in place, the messier the result. There must be a better method of inventory control.
