Saperstein-From the River Within (2S)-C/2M/8T/P - Product Information
From the River Within was composed in February 2007 by David Saperstein in fulfillment of a commission by Peter Jarvis originially intended for DoubleStop, a duo percussion ensemble. The work is in 3 movements. The first movement (which is the longest) starts slowly and moves through a variety of tempi. The second movement is entirely slow and consists of a solo by Player 1 playing only the chimes. The final movement is fast and ends with thunderous bass drums.
