Composed at the request of Met Opera musicians Greg and Patricia Zuber, Amores Montuños by William Susman creates a rapport between the flute and marimba through a variety of Afro-Cuban inspired rhythms as well as challenging 4 - mallet technique involving rolls and octave passages. Amores Montuños was premiered at the Malletech Leigh Howard Stevens Summer Marimba Seminar June 15, 2010.
