Schubert-Symphonies Parties de Timbales

Years ago, I was told about the accompanying volume of Schumann Symphonies revised by Jacques Remy, which I purchased. While I do love these works, as written, the original pitches 'left something to be desired' to my ears. While I have only played a few of the works in that volume, the corrected pitches are indicated very well and are tastefully done. Knowing that this issue existed in Schubert's Symphonies too, I bought this volume on the recommendation of another timpanist. Having just played the 8th recently, I was interested to see what Remy had done and, like with the case of the Schumann, they are well marked and 'tasteful'.
