Zechlin-Musik zu Kafka(S)-V/P - Product Information
The composition "Musik zu Kafka" for percussion solo goes back to a larger work for voice and five instrumentalists, which was created in 1990 under the title "Early Kafka Texts" (published by Robert Lienau Musikverlag, ZRL 40040). There the individual movements for percussion solo have a transitional function. At the suggestion of Thomas Keemss, who premiered the piece in 1992, I extracted these solo pieces as independent movements. In addition, the vibraphone was given a leading role. The second version of my Kafka music is now designed in such a way that the vibraphone tries to do justice to the typical idiosyncrasies of Kafka prose in separate sections between the percussion parts. All pieces should be played with a lot of imagination. -Foreword by Ruth Zechlin
