Steinquest-Meditation and Dance-M

David Steinquest's Meditation and Dance has quickly become a classic standard of solo marimba literature. For the intermediate marimbist, Meditation and Dance presents many technical and musical aspects that will be pleasing. The opening movement is slow in tempo and requires a lot of musicality and control. Movement 2, Dance, is much quicker, with lots of synopation in 7/8 meter. Meditation and Dance by David Steinquest is ideal as a jury or recital piece for college students and advanced high school students.
