One of the talented percussionist-composer Kevin Bobo's earlier works, Rhythmic Jambalaya is rapidly gaining in popularity. Rhythmically sophisticated and harmonically interesting, this piece demands a variety of different techniques, including some extended reaches in the left-hand. Pedagogically useful, the piece is also musically satisfying to the performer and listener.

Internationally acclaimed marimbist and percussionist, Kevin Bobo is currently serving as Associate Professor of Music (Percussion) at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He has performed nationally and internationally as a solo recitalist, clinician, and orchestral percussionist. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Wichita State University where he studied with J.C. Combs and a Masters Degree from Ithaca College where he studied with Gordon Stout.
