Lopez-Los Suenos-V/M

Los Sueños by John Arturo Lopez is a unique solo scored for marimba and vibraphone - one player. The piece starts with driving rhythms on the marimba, moves seamlessly to a ballad like section on vibraphone, and ends with interlocking melo-rhythmic patterns performed simultaneously between the two instruments. Something a bit different for the developing 4-mallet player and an interesting choice for recitals given the visual aspects of one player utilizing two instruments simultaneously.
