Looks Like A Nice Challenge

I got this book looking for something to work through with a student who had just finished Portraits In Rhythm. We're still on the first piece, but it looks like a very logical "next step". These duets don't follow the usual "method book" convention of "part 1 plays something, then part 2 plays it back, then part one plays something syncopated while part 2 plays a supporting rhythm". Both parts are musically involved and (potentially) expressive, and the interplay between them is quite complex, but not needlessly so. I'm looking forward to working through the whole book!
