This is exactly what I bought it for. Although it is VERY hard to clamp onto stands because of the crazy tension. Great triangle clip for the price though!

High tension
Cord loop is long enough for large-diameter triangles like the Abel
Sturdy design, made in USA
Cons:
High tension and uncoated "jaws" may damage sensitive surfaces (hoops, etc)
High tension can make it tricky to open with one hand
Overall a great clip for the money and one of the best out there, period. Highly recommended.

The Danmar triangle clip has a good strong grip to stay on any stand and for the price it's a quality piece of equipment. If you're not going to be playing a triangle as handheld, you can be sure that the Danmar triangle clip will hold your triangle securely. I definitely recommend it.
