In the Kusun (living culture) sessions, master musicians Nii Tettey Tetteh and Ray Pereira have recorded a series of instructional videos demonstrating traditional percussion and dance rhythms from West Africa.
Shot on location in the fishing village of Nungua, Ghana, this series is aimed at taking musicians from the beginner level through intermediate to an advanced level, explaining basic rhythmic concepts as well as more complex solo structures.
This session features the Fume Fume dance. Naa Adei and Nii Ayee demonstrate the basic steps and solo movements to the accompaniment of the Fume Fume drum patterns.
