Iat Gourd Huiro - Large (0798DL) - Product Information

The IAT 0798DL Large Gourd Huiro (or Guiro) measures approx 12 to 18" in total length and has a diameter of approx 3 to 5"......due to the natural aspect of these instruments, measurements vary slightly. This authentic Huiro is made of a natural gourd with grooves cut into the top and finger holes in the bottom. A metal scraper is included with this Huiro.

Beautiful instrument, barely makes a sound. The teeth are extremely shallow and only cover about half the length of the instrument. Extremely disappointed.

The H(G)uiro is really neat and has much better sound than expected, especially for the price. My only complaint, which actually worked out for the better, is that the design and shape of the guord are entirely different from the picture. We ended up liking the one that was sent to us better so we're happy! Fast shipping too. And decent size; its actually a little bigger than my forearm and easy to hold. Could use a better, or more authentic striker thing, but it worked just the same.
