This video demonstrates ten traditional and popular rhythms for the bongo drums. First, each rhythm is performed and musical applications are discussed. The rhythm is then shown from an over-the-shoulder view, played slowly with a metronome, allowing the student plenty of time to get comfortable with the pattern. After that, the same rhythm is played up to speed with a music track. The music is panned opposite the bongos so each part may be heard by itself as well as in the mix.
