Steve Smith is one of the most highly regarded drummers in music today. His seven years with the immensely popular band Journey first brought him to the attention of musicians and critics worldwide, and resulted in 5 platinum albums. His skill is matched with remarkable versatility, as evidenced by his work with the jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponte.
Steve has also toured as a member of Steps Ahead and Vital Information. He was voted Best All-Around Drummer in the 1987 Readers' Poll of Modern Drummer Magazine.
