The drummer for the rock group Scatterbrain, Mike puts some of the craziness that the group is known for into this instructional video. He will show you how to develop speed double bass drums from slow to very, very fast.
Mike does a pattern consisting of 16th note and 16th note triplets on his feet making for a great original groove. You will learn some of the drum parts Mike did on Scatterbrain's albums in which he used the bass drum as an instrument in itself.
Mike will demonstrate triplet grooves and then jam with bassist Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder) and guitarist Danny Johnson.
