Great Book!

Comments:

The first few tunes focus on playing hits on the different sixteenth notes and on each beat of the measure. Great tool for teaching students how to setup hits and get used to how those off beats feel. Last few tunes are a great introduction to playing odd meters. Play-alongs sound like classic drum play along stuff, made in the box. The tunes are pretty fast so I slow them down a few clicks if my students are having a tough time with the tempo. To be honest the tune Spy, I have a hard time playing at tempo. I teach out of this book as well as still work on the tunes myself from time to time. It's a great step up from Groove Essentials or nice change to take a break from GE.
