This book is amazing. Extremely accurate note for note transcriptions. The binding is tight. I applied too much pressure to try to keep one of the pages open as I was playing to a recording, and ripped part of the binding of that section of the book. Best practice is to photocopy the solos, tape the copies together and work on the transcriptions outside the book. For all admirers of Milt Jackson Vibraphone work, this book is a must.

The material is great but the layout of the book is kind of funky. The pages and print are larger than a normal music book which is good but it would be easier if the song forms started and ended on the top of each page. For instance, there might be 28 bars of a 32 bar song on page 1, followed by the next 28 on page 2 etc. The end result is, if you want to work over a 32 bar section of 'How High the Moon', you will have to at least make a copy of page 2 and tape it to page 1 so you don't have to turn the page in the middle of the solo. Also, the binding would have been better if it was spiral or coil bound. Again though, the material itself is excellent.
