A perfect fit on Mapex mark Ii drums

Comments:

They are incredible! These racks double the rim click volume, save on chipped paint and mallets, and mount securely. During rehearsal when covers are on, these racks are easily removed, allowing covers to be refit, and snap right back into place over the cover. This means no cover cutting or sewing. 10/10 would recommend

A Great Product in Theory, but not in Practice.

Comments:

My College Drumline has used these for 3 years now, and they have been nothing but an expensive pain in the butt. They fit extremely well on the rims of drums that are 24" or greater, but once you reach the shell depth of those drums, the spring mechanism tends to strip out and becomes extremely difficult to keep in place. On drums 22" or less, this spring issue is rectified, but now the claws don't fit well on the smaller rims, and dig into the wood of the rims if you don't do some bending to the products. For how expensive they are, the Pearl rim guard and stick holder costs less and does the same job, but better and without nearly the same amount of hardware headaches.
