A. Putnam BD6 Bamboo Bass Drum Mallets - Keith Aleo Double Sided - Product Information

These Keith Aleo Signature Series Mallets are also known as the “Mahler 3” model.

The bamboo shaft handles are carefully selected for matching diameter, weight, and balance. Joints and skin are lightly sanded for smoothness, but left intact to preserve the bamboo’s natural strength. A light wood finish is applied to help protect the shaft from the environment and keep its natural moisture content from fluctuating.

100% German wool felts are precisely split and hand-sewn around cores. This model features a “Cartwheel” style wrap.

99% of the time these work every time. Marches, rolls, warm, focused, Verdi, Sousa, you name it. These can make it happen in virtually any situation. I never, EVER go to a gig that even has a bass drum part without them, because most of the time, the bass drum player sees them and asks to borrow :)
