A. Putnam Michael Crusoe Signature Series Timpani Mallet - Classic Period Staccato - Product Information
The TMC1 Michael Crusoe, Artist Signature Series Classic Period Staccato timpani model features a 1.25″ maple and chamois core wrapped with a high quality, green steam-pressed wool felt. This staccato mallet is well suited for classical and early romantic period repertoire such as Mozart and Beethoven symphonies. With a range in length from 14.75 to 15.25 inches, this model is smaller in scale with a clear and balanced staccato sound.
Bamboo handles are carefully matched for diameters of 1/2″ to 17/32″, as well as a medium weight of 35–45g. Joints are finely sanded for smoothness and carefully placed for premium balance. A wood finish is applied to ensure constant humidity and keep environmental changes from affecting the handle’s stability and strength.
Designed and hand-crafted in the USA.
