Aluphone 17 Note Standard - Travel

The Aluphone Standard Travel is a 1 1/3 octave chromatic set of Aluphone Bells made for easy transport by airplane. It is a popular model and often used by drum corps. The instrument comes with a mounting system, designed to set up on a regular cymbal stands. Aluphone calls it the Travel, because you can split the instrument in two part, so it fits into you baggage when flying.

The Aluphone is a very versatile instrument. Its sound is reminiscent of the vibraphone, gamelan and Tibetan singing bowl all wrapped up into one. The Classic Standard Set is a one and a third standard octave of bells mounted on a bar. Aluphones can be played with a variety of mallets each delivering a different tamber. The bells are not affected by weather elements delivering a consistent sound making them ideal for outdoor applications. This set can be easily set up with two cymbal stands or mounted to an auxiliary rail on a field frame. Height adjustments are possible to make the perfect playing set up for you.
