Aquarian Concert 5 Snare Drum Head

Wow! This coated head seems to have a bass punch when hit harder than normally playing, It is very articulate no matter how it's played & it makes my traps A400 snare sing ,have received many compliments on the snare sound .

I play in a church with acoustics that are great for organ, but terrible for drums. I have always tried to play soft, but hated the lack of a full snare sound. This head seems to have solved that problem. It sounds full at low volumes - soft crush rolls sound fantastic! I was afraid that I'd have to be replacing it on a regular basis because it's so much thinner than standard heads, but that has not been the case so far. I've played on this head at home and laid into it, somewhat, and had no issues. On the con side of things, this head seems almost too sensitive for brush patterns in that the sustain seems too harsh - my brush technique is okay, but I'm not at a pro level by any means; (I may try the Steve Gadd brushes and see it that helps). I've tried various Aquarian heads and never been disappointed.

Evans and Remo both make great concert snare heads, nothing wrong with either one. But, we just received a Cleveland concert snare with this head on it. Super responsive, can handle a wide range of dynamics, and a great price. I actually use Aquarians on my DW drum set, so I like the value/quality score when compared to their competition.
