Don't mistake these heads for the "dead" sounding super-muffled ones. These get a great bass tone. The "kick" is very pronounced, but they still have a nice resonance. Best bass heads I know of.

I really like these heads! Have used them on 18" and now 20" bass drums. They create a concise and controlled thwop, and really don't require a lot of tweaking. If you are looking for big booms, though, this might not be your head...although I have not experimented on larger drums than the above mentioned. I play funk, and for the moment have found the perfect smackeroo!

Mediocre drummer on a mediocre drum kit, these breathed some new life into it. It sounds great.
