Great concert and jazz drum head

I found a 1920's Ludwig and Ludwig nickel over brass 4" by 15" snare drum. I want to try it for brushes (wide open spaces!) with a be bop set and needed a coated batter head. This works out and would even be a good choice for a concert snare drum. My first choice was a Modern vintage but Aquarian does not make them in a 15" size. This sounds compatible with my other Modern vintage heads.

I have been impressed with the Aquarian products I have tried. I use this on a small 10" snare I use on a "cocktail kit". I like the crisp sound and the durability of the head. I've used it on several gigs using brushes and sticks and the coating has not darkened or worn off. The price is very appealing and the service from Steve Weiss Music is unmatched.

I've been using these on my snares (Super2's on the toms) for a few years and i'm totally hooked on them. The coating refuses to wear off, great brush sound and they wear like iron! I've tried a lot of heads over the years and these are my favourites!
