Excellent set of mallets. Just the right trade off for a full sound yet not too heavy (especially for four mallet playing). The only thing that I would change would be describing them as very soft as opposed to medium soft. I ordered a pair of Piper mallets 44r which are also described as medium soft and they definitely are a little louder with more bite. Had the description been accurate I would have opted for the 46R. These will be great for home practice and comping, though.
