The special feature of the Balter Titanium Series is that the mallets work great on both marimba and vibes. This allows the player to make quick switches without switching mallets.

These are Balter's best mallets by FAR. I'm converting my entire lineup of recommended mallets to include these. They sound great for marching keys, but the 6 hardness range also gives the versatility for concert percussion. They work on suspended cymbals, and, as advertised, are great on marimba and vibes. These are similar in tone to a Zivkovic mallet, but with smaller heads and a slightly warmer articulation... and at 75% the price.
