Great place to get a hard-to-find mallet

Comments:

These mallets were recommended to my son by his percussion instructor because of their quality and versatility, but they were unavailable locally and hard to find online. Steve Weiss had them in stock at a good price and shipped them right away. They arrived in perfect condition and will be great for my young percussionist.

Not necessarity for the pit

Comments:

These mallets are advertised as for both marimba and vibes which is true. The are also advertised as useful in the 'pit' for marching band. Yeah, I'm all whatever about marching band. These sticks are actually a combination of the large, wide-bar vibe mallet sound, but with regular length rattan. Perfect. I bought the soft, med. soft, medium, and medium hard sticks and I really like them all.

Best in the Line

Comments:

These are Balter's best mallets by FAR. I'm converting my entire lineup of recommended mallets to include these. They sound great for marching keys, but the 6 hardness range also gives the versatility for concert percussion. They work on suspended cymbals, and, as advertised, are great on marimba and vibes. These are similar in tone to a Zivkovic mallet, but with smaller heads and a slightly warmer articulation... and at 75% the price.
