Mani Volanti by John Beck offers percussion soloists an opportunity to showcase their skills on hand drums such as bongos, congas, djembe, darbuka as well as other percussion in a percussion ensemble setting. Although the soloist part is appropriately advanced, the ensemble parts are at an intermediate level, making this a piece that can be put together on fairly short notice; a good choice for a touring hand drummer playing with various groups.
