Black Swamp Carbon Fiber Complete Set of Timpani Mallets (7 Pairs) - Product Information

This special package of Black Swamp Carbon Fiber Timpani Mallets contains one pair of each of the seven models that make up this complete series.

Black Swamp Carbon Fiber Timpani Mallets consist of seven models of varying felt thickness and core hardness, extending tonal and dynamic versatility. The mallets are weight and pitch matched precisely, with the carbon fiber shafts providing consistent feel and response with no vibration feedback.

The red, green, purple and super staccato models are the same hardness as their former bamboo counterparts. The orange, white and light staccato models are new to the game, with the later two models featuring leather cores for a broader range of tonal and dynamic contrasts.

CF1 - Hard - red
CF2 - Medium Hard - green
CF3 - General - purple
CF4 - Legato - orange
CF5 - Cartwheel - white (leather core)
CF6 - Light Staccato (red felt over leather core)
CF7 - Super Staccato (black felt over wood core)

Black Swamp Carbon Fiber Timpani Mallets

Comments:

These mallets are amazing. They have the feel of a top quality bamboo mallet, such as the Grover Artists Choice bamboo shaft mallets, but the shaft is always perfectly straight, and it will not change when the weather does. The only down side to these mallets is that the backs don't have alot of weight and they are kind of sharp, so If you are playing a piece that requires that you play with the backs of the mallets just be careful that you don't cut the head.
