Black Swamp Titanium Elite Snare Drum - SoundArt - Product Information
Black Swamp’s titanium shells provide projection and body, with a warmth not typically found in a metal shell drum.
The SoundArt strainer features three contrasting snare units, each individually adjustable but engaged simultaneously with the sleek Arch Throw to produce a wider dynamic range with exceptional sensitivity. This no-muss, no-fuss approach of the SoundArt Series strainer allows players to quickly establish a distinct orchestral sound that will easily be maintained for the life of the drum. The three snares include the 4 strand gold cable and 4 strand blue cable fused into one unit, Smaller depth drums (5″, 4″, 3.5″) have an all blue unit. 6 strand stainless steel cable unit and the 5 strand wire wound unit.
SoundArt Cables:
- Gold Coated Cable
- The thickest cable type, responding best at loud dynamic levels. The dry, throaty character of this material type is similar to the traditional gut snares.
- Blue Coated Cable
- Not as thick as the Gold version and responds best at medium to loud dynamic ranges. The dry character provides both articulation and volume.
- Stainless Steel Cable
- Responds best at soft to medium dynamic ranges. The bright, wet character balances the drum’s overall volume.
- Wire Wound
- Responds best in the softer dynamic ranges. The crisp, bright character provides the greatest sensitivity and response.
