Duo Concertante by Thomas Briggs is written to feature two mallet soloists. One playing vibraphone and one playing marimba. The work displays colorful melodic lines with lots of interaction between the wind instruments and the mallet instruments. The instrumentation allows the mallet instruments to shine.
