Bruce-Persistence of Vision (SP)-B/Cro./opt. M/P/VC/PN - Product Information
Persistence of Vision is an introspective work that offers a fresh and unique soundscape for players and listeners alike. A wide range of technical challenges per player makes this piece accessible to many ensembles.
"Persistence of Vision reflects on the optical illusion that takes place when an object remains present in one's vision after it is no longer present. This is what makes figures in animation able to appear to be moving. I decided to play around with that concept and apply it to rhythmic groupings of two and similar sounding non-pitched instruments to create sounds and textures that morph and change over time without it being immediately noticeable to the listener."
