Vinao-Burritt Variations-M - Product Information
Burrittt Variations by Alejandro Vinao is a four mallet solo scored for 5 octave marimba. This set of seven variations on a theme that is reminiscent of some of the music of Latin America. Each variation presents the listener with the challenge and the excitement of listening to rhythmic patterns that combine with each other to form complex layers while seeking to retain the quality that makes one want to move, dance, or foot-tap following a 'groove'.
The piece pays homage to the many Latin American musical traditions Vinao grew up with, that so strongly remain with us today.
