Fukushi-Couple (S-n2)-P - Product Information

Couple for two percussionists by Norio Fukushi received its premier March 7, 2007 at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Recital Hall) by Yasunori Yamaguchi and Sumire Yosihara as part of the "Exhibition of Contemporary Music 2007 (3rd night)".

"I wrote this work for my long time friends, Yasunori Yamaguchi and Sumire Yosihara, when the couple won the 13th Asahi Contemporary Music Award. A proverb says, "Every couple is not a pair." So I inserted a quarrel scene in the work. The quarrel is just a setting on the composition. I'd like to add that my friends are far from in such a situation." - Norio Fukushi
