Del Borgo-Treble Clef Contemporary Rhythm & Meter Duets

Elliot Del Borgo created 28, one-page etudes make extensive use of metric and rhythmic devices commonly found in 20th century works. Composed as recital/performance pieces, all melodic material is derived from a variety of contemporary patterns including synthetic scales, 12-tone and 7-tone rows, cell-derived patterns, modal scales and traditional major and minor tonalities. Ideal for any instrument as sight reading, jury exams, lesson material or recitals, these short works are compositional gems that will challenge performers from high school through professional levels.
