Carr-Double Take-P

Double Take by Jamieson Carr is a duet for multi-percussion inspired by pieces like Trio per Uno and Cadence for Two. Each player rides a steady, aggressive ostinato on the rim of the snare drum. Sparse interjections occur on bongos, woodblocks, cowbells, splash cymbals, and ascending opera gongs. These gradually increase in frequency while a steady groove ensues.

Each player requires the same instruments: splash cymbal, opera gong, cowbell, woodblock, bongos, snare drum, and one shared bass drum.
