Drouet-18 Progressive Studies 4:Timpani - Product Information
The pieces in Jean-Pierre Drouet's 18 Progressive Studies for Timpani 4 are written for 4 pedal timpani with extensive ranges. Certain pieces call for other instruments: cymbals, sleigh bells, etc. Each of these studies is the central part of a longer piece for which one will find the beginning in the previous volume and the end in the last one. So Study #6 in this volume, preceded by Study #6 in the previous one and followed by #6 of the last one, will constitute a complete piece (but each #6 may nonetheless be played separately).
