Garner-Elemental Dances (SP)-Solo T/V/X/M

Elemental Dances by Lucas Garner for solo timpani and three percussionists. This piece was written as a way of exploring the practicality of literature utilizing five timpani as a solo instrument. The work is based on several segments of Native American music, mixing the sounds of world percussion with contemporary ideas commonly found in percussion ensemble literature.

Percussion 3 - tambourine, rainstick, 5-octave marimba, low African drum
