Encore Payson B1 Sostenuto Brown Bass Drum Mallet

I've been looking for a bass drum mallet that gives the deep tones without having to hear the punch of the attack. This is it! Someone else described it as a deep Boosh . Yep. Good description.

This was a pleasant surprise, as I was not looking for the most expensive mallet, to replace the club, we were previously using. This mallet will pull a soft, full sound from our concert bass drum, without any percussive effect, if we choose. I also like the fur wrap. The traditional felt cover requires more care and maintenance than our group is willing to give. This needs only and occasional brushing. We are very happy with this mallet!

The Encore Payson bass drum mallet is reasonably priced yet not cheaply made. The mallet head draws out the deep tones of the drum and the mallet works comfortably with the hand.
