The Evans Calftone Bop Pack is a collection of drum heads designed to fit a Bop drum set configuration. Evans Calftone Drum heads deliver a modern feel and durability with a vintage warmth favored by jazz and show drummers of the era. The bass drum heads project with excellent tight bass frequencies. The Level 360 Technology has been incorporated into the Calftone Series, which insures a consistent fit and wide tuning range every time.

The evans calftone bop set

I play a lot of funk/country rock music in a couple of different cover bands in Jacksonville, Florida. This is one of my favorite sets of heads to play on, and due to the fact that we play smaller venues, I use a Bob kit. This is such a great deal. I'm so thankful that they offer this as a set.

Bought these for a country side projecttthey sound

They sound great for what they are. They coated work better for sound but I definitely prefer the look of these better.

Great vintage vibe

Used these for a run of West Side Story to get an authentic-ish sound (show is from 1957). They sound warm and sustain a lot of mellow tone. They never bubbled or split like fiberskyns sometimes do, and although I replaced my snare and toms later with other heads, I use the same head on Bass Drum years later, and it's still perfectly in tune and clear. Incredible quality.

Great sounding jazz heads

These heads replaced some Aquarian modern vintage heads on a bebop kit. I think the sound and feel are fine and they remind me of Remo Fiberskyns. I have not played them much at gigs and am interested to see how the snare drum will sound with brushes. I always remove the ink manufacturer's logo with Goof Off but this ink is part of the layered head and will not come completely off, so just leave it alone. The toms sound great. I use thin snare side heads on the bottom of my toms.
