Evans Magnetic Head Drum Key

Ditto everything the other reviewers have said. This key feels good in the hand due to its weight, surface texture and shape. The spin knob on top is great for speeding up the installation and removal of tension rods. The magnet really does help keep it from rattling if you like to leave it within easy reach on a tension rod while you play. Some simple things in life make quality of living better and are worth a few extra bucks: good trash bags, good toilet paper, and good drum keys.

This is small work of art. Solid, nice weight, ergonomic. Much thought went into the design and I appreciate the result. I almost can't wait for my drums to drop out tune just so I have reason to reach for this. I wish other manufactures would put as much effort into the little things that are so often dismissed. Nice job Evans!

Great drum key! Solid, hefty. Feels great in the hand and I really like the added magnet. No more lug nuts rolling around on the floor. Only thing I would add would be a small hole to run a cord through and secure it. I have a feeling these may "wander away" if I don't keep an eye on them!

I think the evans magnetic head drum key is the worlds best drum key. I would recommend it to any drummer. It's fantastic.

This is the best all around key I've ever owned. I've had several keys break when I tried to crank my marching head with them, but this Evans key held up to my abuse. I like the curved handle much better than the straight, it doesn't hurt my fingers. The spinner top makes it much easier when you're trying to spin the lug in quickly, and the magnet holds it in place so you can put it on the side of your floor tom while you play and it won't rattle around. I'd recommend this to anyone.
