Falkowski-Miserere Mei, Deus (SP)-M/solo SVX/SATB chorus - Product Information
Miserere mei, Deus was composed by Krzysztof Falkowski using an excerpt from Psalm 51 in Latin translation. The piece is an untypical prayer through sound, where the composer's objective was to achieve the state of fervent prayer, starting from peaceful entrustment of worries, through ardent litany, ending with an imploring cry-all within three musical phrases. The marimba reflects the intermediary between sacred and profane, the soprano soloist is the embodiment of a penitent, and the choir expresses his thoughts, interchangeably wit the people's prayerful pleas.
