Steve Weiss Music is fantastic. They had the X-Hats that I needed, and the price was good. The shipping was awesome. My X-Hats were shipped in just a few short days. They were packed very well. These X-Hats are the best. I am glad that I chose these to use on my kits. I received very good service, and the communication with the store was good while buying my items, but when I wrote them to thank them, and to tell them that I received them, I did not get a reply, and that bothered me a little. I would still consider using Steve Weiss Music in the future because they are reputable and have the gear stocked all of the time.

I actually have the previous version of this x-hat, which had geared teeth. It is amazing. I've tried a wide variety of x-hats and this really nails simplicity, price, and functionality. It's a straightforward simple design with some really nice features that many other versions don't have. My favorite feature is the spring loaded rotating tension adjustment. The handles are big enough. Not too big or too small. It is smooth. Nice to be able to adjust the tightness on the fly. I love my Tama stands and pedals, but Gibraltar has so many options and accessories that add to it.

Perfect for a auxiliary hi hat. They sell it without the boom arm as well but get it with the arm. Clip it to any stand add Cymbals and you are on your way.

This baby is built like a tank. Totally adjustable. You could hang an elephant on this thing and it won't move. I especially like the way the bottom nut under the hi hat adjusts to fine tune the looseness of the cymbals. I've playing for over 50 years, and love to see equipment that's well thought out, gig solid, and not cheap Chinese garbage.
